Reeled Silk Pestemal in Cranberry
These silk pestemals are the embodiment of one family's expertise and dedication to craft. The silk worms are raised and harvested by hand and then the silk is spun or reeled. The threads are then dyed by hand using all natural dyes (often found in garden variety plants) and transformed into works of art. Silk is an insulating layer and also a cooling layer so these scarves can bridge the seasons. There is luxury in this simplicity.
Spun silk feels more like a raw silk where as reeled silk feels more refined.
Size: 41"x 70" approximately.
